Today you tried cereal for the first time. You seemed to enjoy sitting up like a big girl and eating from a spoon.

Dear Mallory,
What an active month you are having. On July 30th you survived the 2.5 hour car ride to Long Beach Island for your very first vacation. You were officially baptized in the Atlantic Ocean this weekend. You easily adapted to staying in a new location with 10 other human beings, taking it all in stride with a wonderful spirit and smile on your face.
Among other things you took a big-girl bath in a full sized tub at our beach house, went walking with your dad every day, got sand caught between your toes and had a play date with cousin Carter.
After our return home, you rejoiced with glee when reunited with your jump-seat and proceeded to perform a routine so comprehensive that both your dad and I considered signing you up for riverdance lessons.
These days you enjoy rolling over quite easily, bring objects to your mouth and continue to fill the house with sounds of laughter.
