Stepping Out
Mallory took her first steps (two of them) on Saturday night.
Baptism
Today you were baptized by Pastor Dowd at the First United Church of Christ. You were wonderfully behaved in church and at the party afterwards. You wore mommy's dress and Aunt Becky became your godmother today. We're very blessed.

First Father’s Day
Dear Mallory's Dad…
It seems so fitting to pay tribute to you today. Not only is today the official day to recognize fathers, but one year ago we announced our pending parental status to those around us. It took over nine months to meet the little girl who would change our lives forever, and you were definately more patient than I.
I know Mallory won't remember her first Father's Day, so I thought I'd help her out. On this day, she is 3 1/2 months old. She can roll over when she wants to and she is sleeping through the nights. Her eyes are a steely blue-gray and she has you to thank for abnormally long eyelashes. I cannot thank you enough for the way you selflessly give all your time and love to this little girl. It sometimes seems to be more than one heart can hold which may be why it spills out so freely and beautifully onto our daughter.
She is a well-adjusted, content and beautiful girl who loves the secure feeling of being wrapped tightly in your embrace for nap times. Upon hearing her daddy's infamous cry of "cheeks" as you rub her round angelic face, she lights up and her eyes completely sparkle. Her current michievious act is to pee the moment we set her in the tub. You merely laugh, and refill the water on her tub and start anew.
Her gift to you (besides the aforementioned sleeping through the nights) is a hammock, with the hopes that you will spend many warm weekends snoozing together on a lawn cut by someone else. She is most thankful for the kind and generous way you make sure she is taken care of, in every single sense of the word.

Happy 1st Father's Day.
Love,
Mally & her mama
Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’
Today you rolled over from your belly to your back. I'm going to have to keep my eyes on you.
All thumbs
You have found your thumb and were able to put yourself to sleep while sucking on it.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace
By clinical definition you have reached the "sleeping through the night" milestone of 5 or more consecutive hours. 10:30-4:30. Good Girl.
Stump-free
Your umbilical cord stump fell off today. Now the real bath-time fun begins.
